 Our Raw Story

My name is Emily, I am 25 years old and I am the founder of Heel Society. Heel Society the brand is inspired by the younger version of Emily. The young 16 year old that worked fiercely hard at maintaining two casual jobs through school five days a week. Then once a month hitting up Chadstone Shopping Centre to obnoxiously blow her months' pay on a new shoe collection. She would then be schooled hardcore, on her finances, by her father and this cycle would be on a monthly repeat... until she learnt to just hide the receipts lol.

I have always been inspired by the emotion that fashion is able to give a person. Good bad or ugly, it still gives emotion. That shit is powerful. I've always been inquisitively questionative on societies standard to what's too much, or too little and why. With the empowerment of that, you are able to express yourself through whatever it may be that you choose to wear. Fashion for me, also has some form of sentimental value. I guess when I say it like this, I am able to understand why I respect it so much. How I choose to show up is my story, my expression, my outlet and I embrace it. Every business generally has a mission, right? In the beginning of creating Heel Society, I really tried to tap into my creative side and multiply on my interests. To create something in alinement with my authentic truth, that holds meaning. What I come up with was this. I can be the cause of something someone else loves to embrace. Fast forward 9 years. And instead of blowing my monthly wage on a new shoe collection. Im excited to share with you my taste for fashion. I hope you can join me on sharing the love of expressing yourself.
